IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO FALL IN LOVE WITH SHROPSHIRE
This is the place to spoil your loved one, rekindle the passion of a well spent youth and demonstrate your affection by taking a short break in the loveliest of England's quiet counties. Shropshire awaits.
THREE STEPS TO HEAVEN
P.G. Wodehouse called Shropshire 'the nearest earthly approach to paradise' (he knew). You too can discover this path to enlightenment by following this simple guide.
First: Check out the main Shropshire Tourism web site, it's full of tempting propositions, delightful places to stay and distracting things to do.
Second: Decide where to stay - near the famous Ironbridge or close to medieval Shrewsbury, enjoying the gastronomic delights of Ludlow or taking in the great outdoors. You'll be spoilt for choice. All rather exciting really.
Third: Come soon! We can't wait to show you how well we treat our visitors and honoured guests - we may even change your love life!
HIS AND HERS HOLIDAYS
Still not convinced? That native of Shrewsbury, Charles Darwin, would probably explain the battle of the sexes in evolutionary terms (we're not sure who's winning either) but a trip to Shropshire would definitely serve as something of a truce.
The boys will happily play with the remarkable toys to be found at our hands on museums, steam railways and aircraft collections. There are also many golf courses too. The ladies, no doubt, will want to indulge their passions for designer shopping, great gardens, stately homes and gourmet restaurants.
If Darwin is correct, the resulting harmony may well ensure the arrival of at least one more generation of the human race!
